Contributions provided for the Fengcheng Orphanage This orphanage had a real need to automate their laundry room, so they could stay on top of keeping the kids' clothes clean and dry. An industrial strength washing machine, spinner and dryer were badly needed at this orphanage. We are happy to report that this need has been filled. Thank you for all the donations you provided to make this purchase a reality. An extra special THANK-YOU to the Milwaukee Area Families with Children from China have donated $1500 for this. Your generosity proves that wonderful things can happen when people unite with a heart-felt goal in mind. |

Contributions provided for the Fenyi Orphanage This is a new orphanage for us. There are roughly 100 orphaned children living in the institute. Their first request was for an air-conditioner/heater and 40 quilts to keep the kids warm at night. Thanks to your generous donations, we've received funds for all of this and our Amity team in China have been ensuring that everything is delivered to the orphanage. Thanks! |

Thanks, Dragons! Air Conditioner/Heating Units Provided: Two air-conditioner/heater units were provided through donations. Thanks! Money was once again sent to purchase the following:
HXM received his operation for his heart malformation and is now in good recovery. He is expected to soon receive surgery for undescended testis. There are now five Amity Hugging Grannies at Ganzhou. Two are fairly new volunteers. The Grannies are able to offer the children in the nursery more physical contact that is crucial for their development. The Grannies here also pay particularly close attention to the needs of children with disabilities or those who have failing health. Each Hugging Granny has been assigned to approximately four children who need such special care, helping these children with rehabilitation and proper development. These Grannies have also received some extra training for rehabilitation methods for the disabled and how to detect certain abnormalities. |

Hugging Grannies: Our four Hugging Grannies in Guixi (below left) are doing an outstanding job of working with the disabled children, both those in the orphanage and those in foster care (below right). They work on rehabilitation exercises with the kids three times a week. We've now received funds for some rehabilitation equipment to help them do an even better job. Equipment Needs: Previously, staff workers in this orphanage were using a small washing machine to wash clothes and diapers. It often got overworked and had to "rest" between uses. We've now received donations to purchase an industrial-strength washing machine for this orphanage. Thanks! We were also able to provide a camera to this orphanage, for recording the progress of the kids. In addition, ten baby walkers were provided to
give the little ones more mobility and get them out of their cribs. |

Contributions provided for the HengFeng Orphanage Equipment Needs Met: This institute lacked a clothes washer and dryer. All clothes were being washed by hand. We received US $1537 in donations, added $2349 from our General Fund, and purchased a new industrial strength washer and dryer for them. They're very glad not to have to wash and dry the children's' clothes outside by hand any more! Medical Needs Met: The facility’s medical clinic was in need of an incubator for rescuing abandoned premature infants. Donations were made and the incubator is being put to good use! CJ, a boy born in Aug, 2000 received surgery for urethra split. Funds were received to pay for a hernia repair surgery for a little girl, but she was adopted before the surgery could be done. These funds will be reserved to pay for other medical needs at this orphanage. We'll keep you posted!
